The story line is good. It is more or less a modernized fairy tale of girl meets boy and falls in love. Of course, in every fairy tale there are always complications. All though I was happy with how Lament kept me interested, there were not a lot of explanations to why some things happened or why they didn't. For example, in the first chapter Dierdre (the main character) met a boy (Luke Dillon) that was in her dream, but it never told us about the dream she had about a mysterious boy. There were details about Dierdre's family's past that seemed to be missing from the story, which is a main point in the story itself. I would definitely tell people about this book. Even though I got confused at points. I'm still looking forward to how the story continues in Ballad.
