A Lancaster County Christmas is an excellent, complex story. The characters are multidimensional. I enjoyed this Christmas novel very much.

C.J. and Jamie set out on a Christmas Break vacation, only to be snowed in on the way there. The story has several layers of who is really saving whom in this quick to read Christmas based book that can be read any time through out the year.
There were so many great ideas to learn and remember such as this one from Mattie's Grandfather, "God's favor doesn't suddenly disappear. He is kind and trustworthy from generation to generation. But our faith in God should never be fastened to circumstances. God promises to never leave us, nor forsake us-WHATEVER our circumstances."

This is a delightful, heart-warming Christmas story. A young woman and her husband are to join her father for a Christmas cruise. While on their way, they're asked to drop off a forgotten toy to a young Amish boy. Unfortunately, a mishap with their car and a storm rolling in, they're stranded at Sol and Mattie's house with their young son, Danny. A crumbling marriage, tension and a near disaster serve to reinforce to Mattie and opens up new understanding to Jaime of God's plan - especially at Christmas.

Suzanne Woods Fisher ia a great writer. She gets you to think. An Amish and English Couple are brought together by God for Christmas on the Amish couple's farm and they become friends and Help each other. I think that God brought them together so that they might help each other.
