This book, one of my new favorites, rekindled my passion of reading for pleasure. It is literally laugh-out-loud funny. This memoir details the author's upbringing in both the United States and in Jordan by her Kansas-born mother and Jordanian-native father. I was fascinated with how the author's plot reveals her interesting upbringing and development through the family's love for cooking, serving and sharing food. Yummy recipes relating to the family's tales are included.
