I found this book really intriguing as I felt "The Last Samurai" was the best movie Tom Cruise has done to date. There are a lot of great photos and interesting text that allows a fan of this time in history an opportunity to relive the beauty/pathos/excitement of this fine film.
I really like this movie and the book captures moments of beauty and meaning from it. The cinematography of the film and photography in the book are outstanding and the intertwined stories of re-finding meaning, purpose, and redemption was exceptional.
