It's a slow read because it is information dense with a lot of people coming into play. But it is well written, with a very thoughtful approach to all the issues at hand, presenting the shades of gray of the situation in a very eye opening way. I'm left hoping that the many remaining tribes of the Amazon find ways to survive the modern world in ways of their OWN choosing.

Another story of man's inability to do what is right vs what makes money. The fight to save a lone Indian from the destruction of the Amazon forest. The win in the end, but I forsee when the forest will be gone, just like the buffalo, just like the carrier pigeons etc.
