I like them but then I like reading about tea and drinking tea! And i like the setting for these..south carolina I think or thereabouts. plus she has a dog... :-) I'm a sucker for doggies...oh and someone bakes stuff and I can't resist that. I like those parts better than the actual mystery iteself...

YES!!!  They are my absolute fave cozy mysteries.  The atmosphere she creates in describing the tea shop is pure heaven.  They're the only books on my keeper shelf and worthy of re-reading.

They're fluffy cozies, but I like the Charleston locale and the tea (and food!) talk.   A quick read - just what I need now and then.

That's it Sam! the 'atmosphere'..that's what I ws 'feeling' but couldn't describe! I feel so relaxed whenever they're in the tea shop describing the teapots and all the teas(I actually had to keep myself off ebay looking for teapots to buy LOL!) though I think I'd like being surrounded by them...

That's okay Susanna, buy that teapot... Just don't go out and open your own store to recreate the atmosphere, like I did! hee hee.  I first read them while on vacation in Savannah. I go them at a teashop that I now picture when reading the books (it looked detnicalt o her despcriptions)... that inspired me to want my own store... not tea though cause I didn't know enough.... so flash forward 2 years later and DH and I move to a small historic town and open a bookstore... and guess what we just added this summer..... TEAS!!! ;)

Warning to all.... the Tea Shop series could change your life.... hee hee ;)

I just ordered Laura Child's first two books in her tea shop series.  These forums are a great way to hear about new series.  I'm a tea drinker and I have a teapot collection, so I'm looking forward to these books.

I have read the whole series and they rank right up there with the best.  Not so much in love though with her Scrapbooking series.

I love the series.  I have her last two books wish listed.

Her second series on scrapbooking is also good but not as good in my opinion.
