Laura Navarre is an American novelist who writes dark medieval and Renaissance romance. Her debut novel was a dark Tudor romance called The Devil's Mistress, about a reluctant lady assassin who's blackmailed to poison Anne Boleyn. It was published by Samhain in June 2010. Her second novel is The Devil's Temptress, a dark Crusader romance featuring a disgraced Muslim knight at Eleanor of Aquitaine's court, which was published by Dorchester in October 2010. Navarre also writes and teaches a workshop on "Sympathy for the Devil: Dark Heroes in Popular Fiction" at various writing conferences, such as the 2010 Emerald City Writers Conference in Seattle, WA.

Navarre's books have won the First Coast Romance Writers Beacon Award, the Emily Award for Excellence, the Georgia Romance Writers' Maggie Award, the Music City Romance Writers Melody of Love, the Connecticut Romance Writers Connections contest, and the Hearts Through History’s Romance Through the Ages Prize. She's a two-time winner of the Golden Pen and a 2009 Golden Heart finalist.

According to the published biography on her website, in her other life Laura Navarre is a diplomat who’s lived in Russia and works on weapons of mass destruction issues. Navarre earned her B.A. in International Relations from Michigan State University, her M.A. from The George Washington University, and an M.F.A. in Writing Popular Fiction from the University of Southern Maine's Stonecoast MFA program. She lives in Seattle with her fiance, screenwriter and memoirist Steven Denlinger.
