This book is the last of a trilogy that starts in "The Brotherhood of the Rose". The second book, "The Fraternity of the Stone" introduces a new character, and all three are reunited in "League". I love this series of books, and "League" is probably my favorite of the three.
Morrell starts each book with snippits of history and builds his story on historical facts. They are fast, fun, edge-of-your-seat reads; books you can't put down. I have loved all of the Morrell books I've read, and own a number of them - just to keep re-reading them. Excellent author!
