I found this book to be the most helpful of all the books I perused on learning to make a patchwork quilt. I started out intending to make the blocks in sampler form, but got so excited about a few of the individual blocks that I veered off and used the book to help me create several quilts composed of those favorites. After I did that, I returned to make the other blocks and put the sampler together. Besides being a wonderful education in quiltmaking, I found all of this to be so much fun. I now have couintless quilts to my credit and am using more advanced books with different types of "artistic" blocks. I highly recommend this book.
