is it legal to combine stamps with a meter postage?  I use our meter postage machine most of the time, but I also have some $1.00 stamps I need to use. Can I make the meter amount for $1.13 and add my stamp? thanks, JB

Yes, it's OK to mix postage.  Now if you question is, "Can I use stamps and meter postage on a package over 13 oz and drop it in the collection box?" then I will say it should be.  I've actually seen nothing on this and it's probably something the PO hasn't had to address yet.  I will also say this could vary due to local interpretation but I would try it and see what happens.

It has traceable postage on it so it should be OK but that's using logic and not every one does.....

Steve--Thanks for holding our hands wilth this new 13 oz. trauma.  Many of us PBSers will have to change the way we mail packages.  I for one plan to go to the downtown Minneapolis PO and purchase some of these APC stamps.  It sounds like this is the new way to go in providing reconciliation with our blue boxes!

You're welcome but keep in mind the limit is 13 oz.  A lot of paperbacks will come in under that.
