Great series. Some of my favorite authors are represented here. Serves as a great intro to many of the biggest names in sci-fi and fantasy.

Really great anthology. All the stories are connected with some of the most famous fantasy series out there. Highly recommend this book.

Last of the anthologies. Robert Jordan's precursor to "New Spring" is in here, Ursula K. LeGuin contributes an Earthsea sequel, Tad Williams contributes a Memory Sorrow and Thorn prequel, and Terry Pratchett contributes a Discworld story about Granny Weatherwax. If you have a favorite series included, this is worth picking up.

Of the four authors, Le Guin was the only one whom I had read before. I thought the Jordan story was particularly good, and really liked the ending. The star of the book was the Tad Williams story, which I thought had great character development.
