This book read well as a stand alone mystery also. I had read the first 2 books and then had to wait for this one to finish the series, therefore the details from the earlier books were fuzzy in my mind. A wonderful romantic suspense story to finish up a great series.

Overall this is a pretty good book. I enjoy the good suspense parts in it and Irene Hannon's writing is superb. I have to say, there is one thing I don't care for. This book seems to closesly follow another in this series. I know some things are changed but overall the plot and character lines are the same. It was still an enjoyable read and I love her writing style.

This book follows the lives of Kelly and Cole. Cole you will recognize from the rest of the books and he makes for a good hero. The protective type who wants to keep his lady safe. Kelly is a nice female heroine and I think she was quite a match for Cole:) Good suspense and a lot of questions that get answered in this book. At one point you almost feel bad for the bad guy, but I think Irene handled the storyline well.

If you like a good suspense book, this is one for you to pick up. And if you are a lover of Irene's other books, you don't want to miss this one!

I received a copy of this book for review purposes.

Loved it! This was my favorite book in this series by far. Sweet romance mixed into a page turning suspense with a few surprises. From the very start, I was intrigued by Kelly's determination to prove her father's death was not suicide. Full review at my website.
