I have not read many commentaries, but I find this one to be very thought provoking. It helps the reader to go beyond the Biblical text by invoking you to go deeper than the words on the page through literal translations of some of the original text as well as explanation on why Paul wrote in the manner he did to the Romans. I believe anyone wanting a deeper understanding of the book of Romans will find this book useful.
