I admire Nick Vujicic for what he's gone through in his life so I really wanted to like this book. Unfortunately I couldn't get past the first chapter, mostly due to the repetitive comments about faith. I have nothing against particular religions, but I can't say that what worked for him in his life would work for me in mine. Just because I rated the book so low doesn't mean that it isn't valuable. I do think the book could be inspirational for some, especially those with a deep Christian faith, so I hope that someone finds this book to be beneficial.

This book encourages the reader to think outside of themselves. I first heard of Nick Vujicic from his work on the movie "The Butterfly Circus". This book is full of good advice about finding the good in yourself and your circumstances. The books is written from a very inspirational/spiritual perspective, though there is plenty of material for someone that isn't especially religious (me, for instance) as well.

I highly recommend it, though I take exception to 1 sentence in it that negatively mentions people that frequent "bars, nightclubs, and video arcades". I feel like he might as well include movie theaters in there as well since there's nothing wrong with video games, but 1 sentence doesn't invalidate the rest of the book.

I decided to read this book after seeing videos of the author on youtube and Facebook. Unfortunately, this book didn't even hold my interest enough for me to get through the first chapter. In the first few pages, the author repeats over and over how he is God's creature and that God had a plan for him. If that belief is what works for him, then that's great, but this statement is repeated several times in the first few pages, and if you don't believe in Jesus or God's plan for an individual then this book is not for you. This book set a new record for me--I gave up on page 8.
