This book focuses on the inhabitants of one working class street in Liverpool in the first year of WWII. Involving, endearing characters and situations. If you enjoy the books of Lilian Harry, you would enjoy this one too. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series, "Put Out the Fires" and "Through the Storm".
