I really wanted to like this book, and for half of it, I did. In the middle of the story though, something went terribly, terribly wrong and it was all downhill from there. Judging by the other reviews of this book, I'm not the only person to feel that way. The author took what was a reasonably likeable story and turned it into something fairly repugnant. How unfortunate. Don't let the cute little cover fool you!

My Little Blue Dress is a hilarious memoir of a 100+ year old woman...kind of. I got lost a bit in the middle when there's a huge style and focus shift, but it all comes together in the end.

If you're into reading the first half of books and then wondering what the heck happened right in the middle to make the author totally change the style and storyline, then this book is for you.
