Looking for something to read to fill some time- this was the book. Read in one day! While others found the disaster situation unlikely, I thought not knowing till the end was part of why I kept reading. I didn't like most of the characters, except Rebecca, but the plot kept moving along. I do not know New York city at all, and was confused by New York talk, but this did not stop me from enjoying this book.
