Ignore the tacky back cover copy (and the even tackier cover art, you should be glad I didn't scan it in) - this isn't a horror story. Rather, it uses a small mystery to take a look at how people fail to live up to their own expectations, and how little irritations wear on you and on the people around you. It's not the greatest book of it's genre, but it is an interesting character study.
