I found this to be an enjoyable read. Mr Tucker is rather funny and I enjoyed his stories and descriptions. It made me want to book an immediate flight to Umbria and eat and drink everything in sight! PS Don't read while hungry - it will just about kill you! Lol

Very enjoyable read! I gained weight just reading about the delicious meals they ate at the various local restaurants and the ones they prepared at home. Made me want to board the next flight to Italy! Well written in breezy conversational style.

You will want to move to Italy RIGHT AWAY after reading this book.
Michael Tucker does a fantastic job spinning his tale of how he, and his wife Jill, came to own a little piece of Italia.
You fall in love with all of the friends they meet and you almost feel like you gain weight with them as they eat some delicious, yet simplisitic meals.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to vicariously travel.
