Having had RA for 10 years, I still found this book very helpful. It explains the cellular basis of RA. The tips for coping with a chronic disease really made a difference. I found it helpful that the book had a section on helping explain to family and friends why a person with RA may not be able to do the things that were so easy for them in the past. Highly recommend, even though the book was written in 1993 it is still very useful. Only the medication section is out of date.
