There were some very funny moments.
- Her early job as MC of The Great Pretenders and the crisis averted was true grace under pressure
- "The equivalent of "We are taking the dog to the farm" for children taking care of elderly parents." Yes! Who hasn't done this?
- The family togetherness as the end of her dad's life was touching. (Really? You didn't see that coming?)
On the whole it was a good book outside my normal reading patterns, but even I found some gems.
