I could hardly put this book down. It's the full story of Nancy Cruzan, who was in a horrible car accident at age 25 and was thereafter in a persistent vegetative state. The book is written by the attorney for Ms. Cruzan's family, who fought all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court (and then back to the state level) to have her gastrostomy tube removed. The emotional and psychological pain her family endured seems unimaginable.

This book should be required reading for all of us, because it could happen at any time. Highly recommended.
