Hi, Ivy, you might check some of the Deepak Chopra books posted here; his basic premise is from Ayurvedic principles.  Good luck and good health to you :))

Cheers, Margaret

Good luck with finding relief from your illness. I was very interested in ayureveda a while back, went to some lectures, bought some books....it is soooooooooo incredibly complicated. The lecturer said she has been studying for years and still considers herself a very basic beginner, because of the complexities, and because there are so many different practictioners and theories out there about it.  The Chopra books sound like a good starting place, he is much more accessible,

Thanks Betty. It's a little complex, but I'm also on the Interstitical Cystitis diet and it's very similar to the Ayurvedic diet, but I'd like to know more.

Louise Hay and Sondra Ray are also have some great books that you might want to check out.  You may also want to find an herbalist in your area - its amazing what can be done with herbs and teas that can't be done with conventional medicine.
