My grandma used to make bran muffins with some kind of cereal in them- All-Bran maybe? They were delicious, kinda sweet and nutty. Does anyone have a recipe? Also I had a peach bran muffin once and was wondering if I could just put cut-up peaches into the regular recipe or would that mess up the consistency? |

Rachel, could it have been made with Raisin Bran? I have a recipe for muffins made with Raisin Bran, just have to dig it up! This one makes a large batch that you can keep in refrigerator for days allowing you to make fresh muffins daily. |

No, I think it was All-Bran, the cereal is kinda shaped like little twigs. |

I remember that recipe Rachel, so I know it is out there. I don't have it, but I know you are correct. |

I think this might be what you are looking for. They are really good. BRAN MUFFINS 1 cup whole wheat flour 1-1/2 cup white flour
3 tsp. baking soda 1-1/2 tep. salt 3/4 cup brown sugar 1-1/2 cup natural bran 1 cup raisins 1 egg 1 egg white 2 cups buttermilk 1/2 cup sugar fee applesauce 1/8 cup molasses 3/4 cup water In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients and make a well in thecenter. Add the wet ingredients and mix well. Cover and refrigerate overnight before baking. Stir well. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Makes 2-1/2 dozen. I have used dried cherries or cranberries for the raisins.
