A friend of mine is just beginning to teach 5th grade in an inner-city school with absolutely no budget, and was told she would have a classroom library but discovered yesterday that there isn't one.  Not one book other than textbooks in the entire classroom!  The kids are from low-income families, so she can't count on their parents for donations, either.  I would like to help her out by getting her some children's books, in the grades 3-6 reading level range, but would really appreciate any deals y'all could offer.  And if anyone out there has one, two, or a few books you'd like to donate to her classroom, I know she'd be thrilled!  Please PM me with any offers.  Thanks!

Thanks so much to everyone who replied to my request, but I have had so many offers, that I have already spent all of the extra credits I had to use.  If you want to make your offer directly to my friend, however, I know some other PBS members were going to buddy her some credits to use for books for her classroom, and maybe she can take you up on your offer!  You can even buddy her some credits yourself, if you want, to help her along!  You can find her in the PBS Member Directory with the PBS nickname aisforaardvark.
