This is a sequel to a teen book I haven't read, but it stands well alone. The main character, 13 year-old Norah, and her little brother Gavin, are evacuees from England during World War II, and are staying in Canada with a large extended family, who are gathered together at a lakeside summer home. Norah's first-love crush on a college-age member of the family is very well depicted and forms the central theme of the book.
