Hi!  A while ago, I read and loved an older hardcover copy of Robin Hood from the library.  Soon after, they sold it at their book sale!  I have been searching for it ever since.  It had no author listed in it, was published in 1961 by Holt, Rinehart, and Winston, and had 278 pages.  I remember it had no dust jacket and the cover was dark green.  (I know all this because my DD did a book report on it!)  It isn't listed in the PBS database or on Amazon.  Does anyone have a copy they would be willing to part with?

P. S. - It isn't the Howard Pyle edition!

I have a beat up copy of the Howard Pyle edition from my childhood - I didn't know there was another one by someone else from that time period.  However there is a more modern Robin Hood novel by Parke Godwin that I read about 10 years ago or so.  It sets the Robin Hood tale in the mid 11th century as opposed to the late 13th century as other versions (including the Kevin Costner movie) have.  And if you're really into Robin Hood, I have a copy of the book based on the Kevin Costner Robin Hood movie on my bookshelf to trade.

Megan try searching for it by author, date, and publisher on LibraryThing and BookMooch. Their databases include the Library of Congress so they show a lot more books than some of the other sites.
