I love this series! Normally, I'm a Regency romance kinda gal, but I am soo hooked on Tara Janzens' characters. It also helps if you've read some of the previous books, because they all interweave and refer to each other in each book. So if this is your intro to Ms. Janzen, start at the beginning; you'll enjoy the storyline even more. There is so much background and back stories to these books, and the plot is good (some books are a bit better than others) and there's always a juicy sex scene or two - but it doesn't overwhelm the story. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

I really like this entire series. I did enjoy this book but Esmee didn't really connect for me. Johnny was a really great hero and his thoughts and intentions were really clearly defined...didn't get the same from the heroine, she just fell a little flat for me.

Another interesting thing was if I didn't completely miss something I believe this book took a page from "24" and all this happens in one night. Next in the series is Breaking Loose (Aug. 09) which looks like it will be General Buck Grants story. There is a little secondary character hook up set up for another book with Dax and Suzi from the art gallery:) That one sounds like it will be good too:)
