This was truly one of terrible books I've read. The plot was trite. Throughout the book there were foreign words that were never defined and did nothing to enhance the story. This book actually went into the fire. Literally.

It was kind of a nice change to read about Egypt, shapeshifters, and demigods along with vampires, but I didn't love this enough to seek out the other books in the series. I assume you will need to read all three in order to get the whole story. The not quite willilngness of the heroine doesn't go down well in 2020.
