This was an intersting book if you like reading about the history of Charles I of England. Much of the book is about Charles I, his wife Henrietta Maria, and their Court. There wasn't as much written about Jeffrey Hudson as I thought would be, but I enjoyed this book just the same. Most of the time it reads like a novel with a few exceptions here and there. There is some minor information about Charles the II towards the end. This book has sparked my interest into reading more about Queen Henrietta Maria. She was a very strong, powerful and interesting Catholic Queen.
