Okay one of the books I sent has been declared lost in the mail. However, in my email from the PBS system, it says this: If you would like to ask USPS to find your unreceived book, you can contact USPS at 1-800-ASK-USPS or fill out the online mail loss/ recovery form at www.usps.com/postalinspectors (the Postal Inspection Service's website). This will help USPS try to recover your book if it truly has been lost in the mail. Now I looked around on the website and couldn't figure out where the form was to fill out. Can anyone help? Kim |

Thanks Charlie! How did you find that? Maybe I need some coffee. Kim |

How long has the book been "lost"? Often, these things turn up sooner or later. I've had 2 books declared lost in the mail, both of which turned up at the destination about a week later. So, if it was just declared lost recently, give it about a week before filling out the form. |

The one time I had books declared lost in the mail, I filled out the form but never heard back from USPS. The books did finally show up almost two months after I mailed them. Good luck! |

Thanks for the tips. I just feel bad for the person I sent it too. It was a brand new copy of a book. :( I'll wait and see what happens. I'm surprised it's lost as it went from MD to VA. Kim |
