Ugh. I have like 12 orders to mail.  I just posted this thing yesterday!  Actually it's an audio cd that turned out to be on somenoes WL.  They answered quickly and because I have other books to mail I hit the 2days button.  Now I can't find the darn thing.  I had in my hands yesterday. I've emptied every book bin and searched everywhere.  In my tbr pile, my posted but not sold pile, my damaged pile etc..., I wrapped and addressed all the other books last night and this is the only one I couldn't find.  Of course we have people coming for dinner tonight and I don't have time to search anymore.  Argh.  Robert Goulet must have come in my house yesterday and messed with my stuff.

That stinks.  We know it didn't sprout legs, so it must be somewhere.  Did you check the fridge?  ha ha.  That's where I found my keys once.  Good luck

you'll find it...just PM the member and tell them what happened and that you are trying to figure out where you put it.

I think even though you hit 2 days you have more than that to actually mail it.

and of course it will show up in a spot that you will swear you have already looked!

That's what I'm thinking. That I'm looking at it and not seeing it my dinner guests coming, so much to do panic.

OK, I've gotta ask...why would Robert Goulet be coming to your house and messing with your stuff?  (And how can I get him to do the same...my mother loves him.  Or at least she did before he grew the mustache.  But that's neither here nor there...<g>)

I think we've all done this at one time or another...somehow I "lost" a book between my study and bedroom, which are right next door to each other...think I gotta clean? :(

Worst case, you have to cancel it , apologize profusely, and repost it when you find it....since it's on the WL, you won't have to worry about going to the bottom of the FIFO pile.

The nut commercial.  "Keep Goulet  away". I think it's Diamond Almonds or something.  The commercial is "when the afternoon hunger strikes and you lose your concentration, Robert Goulet comes in and messes with your stuff".  "keep Goulet away"  It's really funny.  He's skulking around the office climbing walls and stuff.

i would be worried that it is wrapped up in one of the other packages. I have elves that do that kind of thing here.

I found it!! Yay!!! It was mixed in my dvd's the kids got out yesterday.  When they cleaned them up they must have scooped this up with them.  Of course they just stacked them on the tv.  I'm glad I decided to put those away so I could dust.  What a relief.

Glad you found it, Mary!  This happened to me once, but it was before I clicked that I could send.  When I couldn't find the book I had to decline the request.  (Boo!!)  It did finally turn up, but it was about two months later and in a place I NEVER would have looked.  Sounds like a case of Robert Goulet to me!

They are all in the mail yay!  I should have done this pbs thing years ago.  I've earned 40credits already.  I've noticed waitlists for  books that I've sold to Half Price Books or in garage sales.  Oh well that was before I knew about this.  Now I have to get reading so I can start ordering.

Unfortunately, you'll probably have to cancel the order(unless you find it:).  I'd send a pm to the requestor, if they're anything like me, they'll understand:)  I lose things all the time--just this week I lost my check card and my credit card(and they both appeared minutes after I canceled them, I swear).
