Heather reviewed Lost on Everest: The Search for Mallory & Irvine on
Great book, very interesting very accurate a good historic piece about early climbing , and the story of two incriedible people. Mallory and Irving. I usually would not read this kind of book but it is well written and keeps you turning pages.
A study of the mountaineering careers of George Leigh Mallory and Andrew Comyn Irvine, who were lost in an attempt to summit Mt. Everest in 1924, this book is also the account of the 1999 journey to find their bodies and determine whether Mallory and Irvine actually achieved the summit before perishing.
A fascinating book with many excellent photographs.
