I had my first book go lost. Figured it was coming. I was keeping an eye on it as I used DC. On the 18th it was marked, Undeliverable as Addressed - Napa, CA I was hoping it would eventually get to the member. No such luck. So now what happens to the book? I know they don't have to send media packages back, but what's the norm? I feel bad for this member as this was a hc and on her wish list, plus it was a brand new book read only twice. Odd thing. A while back I posted a question about this same book. I questioned why I didn't get my quick credit when I had gotten it for 5 other books mailed that same day. I watched her scan all of them. I later noticed on my receipt that I never got charged the .18 cents for DC. Because I had purchased the DC here and it had the bar code I was told it should still get scanned eventually and I'd get my credit. That did happen so no biggie there. But again I feel bad that someone is out a book.

Leslie it's possible as long as you had your return address on it that it will come back to you. Then you can check with the other member and find out what the address problem is, and see if they want you to try again. I have gotten about 3 media packages returned to me since I have been a member here, so it does happen. Have you talked to the other person? Probably if she had gone in to her post office on the date it was marked undeliverable, they might have been able to find it for her. Now I'm sure it's too late. But she might be able to fill out a lost mail claim form. |

Thanks Bren. I did have my return address on it. I will contact the other member. I'd like to be able to get it to her if I'm lucky enough to get it back. |
