This book includes two short stories in the Trek world - neither one is set on Tryston. One story is set among the gorilla warriors of Dementia (introduced in No Fear which is Trek Book 5) . The other is set in Galis, the matriarchal planet. The Guide itself doesn't really have that much detail. I wanted more. Much of it is just a regurgitation (sometimes verbatim) of information already in the books. I would have liked greater detail about the certain things like the creation of the Sacred Mate necklaces, the qi'ka, etc. I did like the helpful genealogy chart for the Q'an Tal royal family.

The story set in Dementia is just plain bizarre. These alpha warriors aren't human. They're male apes much like those in Planet of the Apes. They walk upright. They have higher order thinking and speech, but they resemble apes in every other way. They're hairy. They have large teeth. I just couldn't get into a romantic story between a human and an ape. I would say I'm pretty open-minded, but having an intimate relationship with an ape, even a highly intelligent warrior ape, is just too strange and not romantic at all. It's disturbing.

It's short. It's really, really short. [The first two stories only total 75 pages between them.] That's a good thing.

Story #1 [Dementia] has an Earth girl poofed to the jungles of Dementia where she is pursued by a gorilla warrior. [And no, that is not a misspelling - think Planet of the Apes.] He catches her, wild sex ensues.

Story #2 [Never A Slave] has an Earth guy [30 year-old, good looking and virginal guy] poofed to Gallis where he is captured by women warriors who sell him as a breeder slave. He's purchased, he resists, she calls him 'her feisty one', wild sex ensues.

Part #3 is the insiders guide to the Trek M'Quan universe.

Trek Mi Q'an - DementiaBy Jaid Black Book 5.5 in the Trek Mi Q'an series.

Dee Ellison is catapulted from Earth and ends up in a mysterious alien world populated by an all-male race of ape men. Hoards of ape men who keep humanoid females captive â as sex slaves. More terrifying yet, the alpha male of the most powerful Hoard is hot on Dee's trailâ¦

Note: Though this story is connected to No Fear, it can be read as a stand-alone.

Trek Mi Q'an - Never a SlaveBy Jaid Black Part of the Trek Mi Q'an series.

Lord Julian Jameson went into the woods to relax â to beat his chest and celebrate his masculinity in an environment free of women. In the blink of an eye he was on Galis, an alien planet where women rule. Gorgeous women with insatiable libidos. Naked and in chains, Julian is furious and humiliatedâa condition that does not improve when he is auctioned off as a sex slave to Klykka Gy'at Li, High Mystik.

But Julian is no woman's slave. Not now. Not ever.

Trek Mi Q'an - Guide to Trek Mi Q'anBy Jaid Black

At last â the seventh dimension explained. With the Guide to Trek Mi Q'an, readers can brush up on character profiles, map out the geography of Tryston, understand the political infrastructures of the galaxy, consult the extensive Glossary and even learn how to pronounce all the names and terms. (It's Trek Mee Kwan, by the way.) Only the truly foolish dare leave Earth without it.
