Storm, the leading lady of the story, is a spoiled Southern belle at first, completely sheltered. She meets a mysterious man called Wolf who is part Native American (or so he says) after an incident leaves her alone in the prairie. Storm slyly gets the gruff and resistant Wolf to help her, and in the process they fall in love. Storm is meanwhile transformed into a woman who can take care of herself. Then the story changes gears, and she is put back in her old life-but Wolf reappears and changes her world again. Learning Wolf's own story is just as interesting and moving. He has been so hardened, yet learned to love again. Beautiful!
