It's just an OKAY read...the characters main and secondary are quite COLORFUL...and even though the storyline is REALISTIC...and the author gives some INTERESTING and probably EXTREMELY real insight into the world of interracial dating/relationships...both John and Denise come off as TOO NEEDY, wishy-washy and whiny throughout...and I couldn't for the life of me see how they could build a LASTING relationship with all the DRAMA constantly surrounding them...the few moments when John and Denise are in "sync" with one another the romance is definitely SWEET...but there's just too much NEGATIVITY from the couple, his family, their friends, of course all their "enemies"...however, that being said, Ms. Green still keeps me turning the pages just to discover what would become of John and Denise's journey to love.
