Book 4 is as good as all the rest of the Highland Lords. I can't wait to see if Ranney continues the saga. Again, I could not put it down.

Well written, lots of action, and not too cliched. A woman known as a healer shacks up in an isolated castle with a vulnerable Scottish lord in need of treatment...

Imprisoned in India has taken its toll on Hamish MacRae. He returns to the Highlands physically compromised and wanting only solitude, seeking it in a lonely castle. Mary Gilly is a widowed healer, who is determined to bring Hamish out of his depression and heal him. But the rumours and whispers surrounding them threaten to engulf them both before they can find each other, much less claim a future together.
