While the cover may look like a rom-com, this is a cozy mystery with a romance subplot.

Dana Berry is a struggling actor in NYC until she lands a host role on The Shopping Channel. Not long into her new gig, a shocking death occurs in the building and evidence appears in Dana's dressing room. She, of course, investigates to clear her name and save her career.

I've never watched QVC or HSN and was fascinated with the behind-the-scenes glimpses into this strange world. I also enjoyed Dana's connection to her Sweat City acting troupe.

The mystery was average, and the big reveal was anti-climactic. But I enjoyed some of the quirky characters and the growth in Dana's father and his relationships.
