This deals with the military, and what the war is doing in Iraq. It has some fiction mixed with non-fiction I think, as it gave me a better understanding of what our troops are going through. But, of course, it is a romance, so there is the happy ending. None of the books were real technical; they just explained military life as it is over there in the author's eyes. I liked the book as it did open my eyes, but it did not dwell on the bad parts of war.

They gave their all for their country. . .
. . . including their hearts
"A Military Affair" Merline Lovelace

When a recovery effort lands air force sergeant Teresa Ross in the arms of ambitious photojournalist Pete Quinn, she knows he's captured the story of a lifetime. But will he take her heart, as well?

"Comrades in Arms" by Lindsay McKenna

Captain Tara McCain was the kind of woman who never took no for an answer. Not even from sexy captain Dave Johnson, who believed a combat-shy woman was a detriment to his team. But calm, capable Tara was ready to face the heat of war . . . and passion.

"An Unconditional Surrender" Candace Irvin

Captain Jack Gage always found his prey, even when the quarry was his undercover ex, Captain Danielle Stanton. And now, after years of retreat, he was on the offensive, swearing to accept nothing less than her love.

When two hearts battle, love is the only victor. . .
