Returning home from the Dakota Badlands, Samantha Sanders is rescued from renegade Indians by two equally renegade white men and finally saved by Hawk Two Feather, a Sioux warrior.

Hawk and Samantha are forced to hide from the Cheyenne who are stalking Hawk. There is an immediate strong sexual tension between them.

After they successfully steal their horses back from the Cheyenne, Samantha and Hawk stay in the Sioux camp where his association with Samantha causes many members of the tribe to doubt Hawk's loyalty. Later Hawk encounters hostility in Deadwood, near Samantha's ranch.

The non-stop action in Robin Gideon's Indian romance, along with her fresh characters cut loose from standard roles, turn this into a realistic story that confirms the best symbolism of the genre.
