I wanted to like this book more than I did. But I found the narrative very scattered, it bounced about like pinballs.
The characters sometimes were well defined and focused on; at other times, just fleetingly described and brought in just for the convenience of telling one part of the story, then gone for good. That all these characters came together to form some sort of disjointed family, seemed forced to me. At the final page, I just shrugged because the reading of it was over.

** Two stars, because I just wasn't grabbed and probably won't remember this book in a couple of months.
