Rodrigo Soto is the last in line in a notorious family of Pirates. At the age of 13 he watched his father hang, then was snatched away from his home in the Indian Ocean by a grand gesture by the English Duke of Breckenridge.
Gabrielle Ashton-Cross, the bastard daughter of the Duke, developed a bond with this strange dead eyed boy which grew into a passionate consuming love over the years.
I am so glad I found this book here. Unfortunately for any interested, I plan to keep it. The story has everything I value in a book - Excellent plot - great adventure - passionate sizzling love scenes - in depth characterization - and an intense, passionate love between 2 people written so well it is the most believable, real and satisfying romance I have read to date (and I read alot).
Warning: contains subject matter that may be offensive to some readers. Violence, a rape scene - murder.
