Don't let the cover photo fool you. This is not all about fancy machine embroidery and applique techniques. This is actually the BEST book for beginning machine quilters that I've read so far. Everything is explained clearly and with detailed photos. One thing I especially love is the "trace and practice" sections that allow you to get a feel for how to build freehand designs - by tracing them first. If you only buy (or read) one machine quilting book, this should be it.
