Ian and Beth MacKenzie along with their children have arrived at the family home of Kilmorgan Castle a few days early to celebrate Hart MacKenzie's birthday. The first night of their stay, a group of men break in and steal some of Hart's priceless works of art. Ian is determined to discover who is behind the theft; but his investigation is curtailed when Beth's former brother-in-law, John Ackerly, visits the estate. John wants to meet Ian because he believes he has a cure for Ian's madness.
This is a novella in the Highland Pleasures (AKA: MacKenzie/McBride) series. I like when the author revisits some of the characters from past novels. And, Ian is always the most interesting of the group. In this story we catch up with many of the past characters in this series. My rating: 4 Stars.
