This is a great story and pretty unique for the storyline at the time it was released. I loved all of the characters and that there was a depth to the story that most books in the series romance category don't have.

I read this when it was first release and it was an instant keeper. Tame by today's standards but I am still toting a copy around the country with me. One of only two of the old series romance that I include on my keeper shelf (the other is Getting Rid of Bradley by Jennifer Crusie-cute and funny).

I love anything Linda Howard writes even if the back cover doesn't sound like something I would normally read. She's one of the few authors that I will buy in hardback and she's on my keeper bookshelf for life.
This is a wonderful story that I keep reading over and over again.
