I don't know why. I had 12 orders my first week which I'm really happy about.  Wish I had done this earlier. I'm just worried about a book getting lost, someone not being happy, a book getting shredded in the mail etc...,

Don't worry Mary, we all felt that way the first few weeks.   I feel sure your books will be fine.  IF there is a problem I'd suggest that you read carefully what the "reciever" say and respond with courtsey and kind words.   Normally any problems can be worked out between two people who WANT to find a solution.      Welcome to PBS!!!!!!!

Hi Mary, welcome!  Next on the list is to consider making a profile. It helps if people see you posting here and may want to order directly from your shelf.

Welcome to PBS, Mary! Once those first books make it to their new homes, you'll relax and feel a lot better! Occasionally odd things do happen, but speaking as someone who's sent (and received) a lot of books here, 99% of them get right to where they're going without a hitch! You'll be officially addicted in no time at all. :)

From another relative newbie (Just about 2 months) Welcome. I know you'll enjoy it here I am. And trust me I know what you mean about the OMG is everything going to be okay. But I've only had one book go missing and that was one coming to me. Since you've found the forums you can check out some of the mailing threads for ideas on how to make your books more secure if you are like me and live in hurricane country ;)

And again welcome to PBS.

Welcome Mary!  12 books the first week is great!

I am fairly new too, started at the beginning of this month.   As you are learning how things work, you will make mistakes and you will get notes from folks on how to change those mistakes.   Don't feel "attacked" if this happens, but just realize there are lots of folks out there who help train others to keep PBS such a great place.

The very first book I ever sent off got marked "received with a problem" - I didn't notice it had a bit of highlighting in it as I had used it for a class.  So don't worry too much, it happens!  I couldn't even buddy the person back their credit right away since I had not chosen 3 books yet!  But things have gotten easier and I've enjoyed it here immensely.
