A so-so offering from Krentz. Fil was likeable in her own way I suppose, but the story had more of a "ha, ha, look at me now" vibe than it should have. Trent was also Krentz's typical macho hero, but that's her M.O. and it works. I will say, however, it would have been much more interesting if Fil had still been overweight but confident in herself and her abilities as a fashion designer. Trent was sure he would have wanted Fil, extra weight and all, so given a dowdy Fil instead of the sex kitten he did get, would he have chosen differently?
