I devoured this book in about two days, and that is only because I was forced to put it down to go to work. It is playful but not childish, full of adult humor but not to the point where it is blatant and stupid, and of course full of Lovecraftian lore. The characters are nicely developed for it being a relatively short book and you really start to get behind them. On top of that, Seamus Cooper does a very good job of detailing things that Lovecraft just loosely played at; such as not-quite-right geometry of R'lyeh. Very good book, it will be a while before I am going to be willing to repost; but I also do not want to deprive another person of such a good read.
