Another good read about the continuing adventures of our favorite English professor, Karen, at the hopelessly stuffy Enfield College. Introduces an interesting character, Sunnye.

Prof. Pelletier has a famous private eye novelist come to town with her dog, Trouble, a Rottweiler. Someone is stealing books from the Enfield Library - a good academic mystery and amusing too.

Joanne Dobson's literary mysteries are wonderful! Each one showcases a different famous author's works (in this case, Dashiel Hammett), and there is a wonderful relationship growing between her professor-detective (Karen Pelletier) and the state police officer who always seems to end up on "her" cases.
